Training session for the "Three Reductions Action"

On June 13, the Hunan Provincial Agricultural Machinery Bureau held an on-site training session for the "Three Reductions Action" in Miluo. At the training session, Di Xuanjia, project manager of the Longzhou agricultural machinery precision fertilizer applicator, explained from a machinery perspective how to use the Longzhou rice transplanter with synchronous precision fertilizer application to reduce chemical fertilizer use during rice cultivation.

It is reported that the Longzhou fertilizer applicator, through precise application methods such as trenching, deep application, soil protection, and side-deep application, can reduce fertilizer loss pathways. In particular, losses from volatilization and runoff are greatly reduced, thereby improving fertilizer use efficiency and achieving the "fertilizer reduction" effect.

Experts from the Agricultural Machinery Bureau said that after multiple comparative trials, it was found that using the Longzhou synchronous precision fertilizer applicator can save more than 60 yuan in fertilizer costs per mu of field and 45 yuan in labor costs.

It is understood that in October last year, the Longzhou synchronous precision fertilizer applicator passed national appraisal. At present, the Hunan Provincial Agricultural Machinery Bureau has included it in the provincial subsidy catalogue for the Dongting Lake area agricultural mechanization improvement project, with a subsidy of 7,000 yuan per unit, and plans to promote 500 units across the province this year.
