2017 Yunlin Taiwan Coffee Festival - "Happy Coffee Countryside, Picnic, Food, and Harvest Fun"

The "2017 Taiwan Coffee Festival" will officially kick off over two consecutive weekends, from November 25 to December 3, in the Green Tunnel and Huashan area of Gukeng Township. Yesterday (the 15th), a press conference for "Happy Coffee Countryside, Picnic, Food, and Harvest Fun" was held at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Taichung. County Government Secretary-General Huang Yushuang and Deputy Director of the Cultural Affairs Department Chen Meiyan invited friends from all over the country to come and explore the hometown where Taiwan coffee beans are cultivated and taste happiness. This year's event is divided into two major themes: "My Coffee Food and Harvest" and "Happy Coffee Countryside, Picnic, Food, and Harvest Fun," combining five-sense experiences and coffee roasting activities, allowing the Gukeng coffee industry culture to be presented to the public in a more diverse form.

Secretary-General Huang Yushuang stated that the opening event of the 2017 Taiwan Coffee Festival, "My Coffee Food and Harvest," will grandly take place at 10 a.m. on November 25 on Huashan Coffee Street in Gukeng Township, inviting coffee farmers and estates from within Gukeng Township to participate together, showcasing local coffee-related food and harvest as well as local industry characteristics. The exciting series of content includes creative installation art, a coffee bean roasting competition, a coffee street food and harvest feast, coffee food and harvest window displays, coffee mini-tours, and a Gukeng coffee and tea micro-film selection...... and more, allowing visiting members of the public to better understand Gukeng.

One of the series of Coffee Festival activities, "Happy Coffee Countryside, Picnic Fun Tour," will also officially begin at 10 a.m. on December 2 at the Gukeng Green Tunnel. Using creativity and experience to connect and plan four major coffee-themed areas, "Listen to Music, Picnic Fun Tour," "Coffee Story House," "Gukeng Food and Harvest Tasting, Local Delicacies Free to Try," and "Gukeng Fun Coffee, DIY Experience Area," and inviting handsome celebrity chef Wang Fu-li to come to Gukeng, using local Yunlin ingredients to showcase local flavors, everyone is invited to come to Gukeng to taste coffee, listen to music, and stroll through the market.
