I. Soil

For growing the Tiger Orchid, it is best to use soil with good air permeability. You can add an appropriate amount of charcoal and granular material to the bottom of the flower pot to enhance its drainage.

II. Light

It likes sunlight. In spring, autumn and winter, it can receive direct light; in summer, it should be appropriately shaded and must not be exposed to direct strong light. Excessive sunlight can easily scorch the leaves.

III. Temperature

The Tiger Orchid should be given a growing environment of 15-25°C; the temperature must not be too high or too low. In winter, it can be kept indoors, and the temperature should not be too high; simply keep it at around 10°C.

IV. Watering

When watering it, you should control the amount well. During the vigorous growth period, water more, but do not let water accumulate. Water according to the principle of watering as soon as it dries, and water thoroughly in one go each time. In summer, when the temperature is high, you can water 2-3 times a day.

V. Precautions

1. Repotting: It is best to repot the Tiger Orchid after flowering. When repotting, cut off the rotten roots, and the tools used should also be disinfected to avoid infection.

2. Winter watering: Pay special attention when caring for it in winter, and do not water too much. If the amount of water is too large and the temperature is relatively low, it can easily cause root rot.
