What causes azaleas to drop their leaves
1. Sudden change in environment
Cause: When a newly purchased azalea's growing environment suddenly changes, especially a sudden change in air humidity, it very easily develops leaf drop.
Solution: Place the newly purchased azalea in a relatively cool environment for a period of time.

2. Dry air
Cause: Azaleas have high requirements for air humidity. The humidity in a greenhouse is generally 70-80%, while household humidity is generally just a little over 20%. When the air is too dry like this, the azalea reduces water evaporation by dropping its leaves.
Solution: Increase the air humidity around the azalea. You can use misting, or place a basin of clean water around it.
3. Overwatering
Cause: Watering too much causes the azalea's root system to rot, further worsening its leaf drop.
Solution: Reduce watering, and water again only after the soil has dried out,
