Can drooping peace lily leaves recover?
1. Reduce watering
Overwatering causes waterlogged soil, which prevents the roots from breathing properly and leads to root rot and drooping leaves. If the leaves are drooping due to overwatering, reduce the amount of water given; if too much water has already been added, place the plant in a ventilated spot to dry out.
2. Loosen the soil appropriately
If the soil is compacted, water cannot fully penetrate to the bottom after watering, resulting in poor aeration and making the roots prone to rot. In this case, turn or loosen the soil appropriately, and repot once if necessary, using soil with better aeration.
3. Let it acclimate appropriately
A plant just purchased from the market has suddenly moved from a warm greenhouse to an unfamiliar environment, and needs time to adapt to the temperature, humidity and so on. Letting it acclimate gives the plant time to adjust; after a week, place it in a spot with sunlight.
4. Suitable temperature
The growing temperature for a peace lily is 5-30°C. If the temperature is too low, it will inhibit the plant's growth, and in cold winter conditions it may cause the leaves to droop. Move the plant indoors to a warm environment.
