For peppers to be high-yielding and sell for more money, growers planting peppers must meet these three conditions

Whenever you visit a pepper-growing area, you will frequently run into growers who want to show visitors the pepper fields they consider the best managed.

Judged by high-yield pepper standards, in reality, the pepper fields the growers consider high-yielding will not actually produce very high yields.

Why do we say this?

Today we will talk about what kind of pepper growth is truly the best, and what kind of pepper field can be high-yielding.

The greatest value of this article is that, through comparison, it lets pepper growers quickly identify the shortcomings in their own peppers' growth and make reasonable adjustments to their pepper management.

(1) High-yield standards for pepper plant growth

1. Pepper plants cultivated and managed properly by growers have thick stems and moderately long internodes; the pepper plant architecture meets cultivation requirements;

2. Pepper leaves are thick and dark in color;

3. Before fruiting, the pepper plants neither age prematurely nor grow leggy, and in the late fruiting stage the pepper plants do not undergo premature senescence;

4. Peppers have a high fruit-setting rate and do not drop flowers;

5. Pepper fruits are well-shaped, with glossy skin and bright color, and there are few deformed pepper fruits;

6. Peppers are free from pest and disease damage; the growth of plants across the entire pepper plot is relatively uniform.

(2) High-yield standards for the fruiting condition of pepper plants

For pepper growers, properly cultivated and managed pepper plants have a moderate fruiting period, and the length of the fruiting period matches the characteristic requirements of that pepper variety, and also meets the cultivation requirements of that pepper variety under that cultivation method;

Pepper flower buds are of good quality, with a high fruit-setting rate and little fruit drop; pepper fruits develop quickly, pepper fruit shape is well-formed, there are few deformed pepper fruits, and the rate of high-quality fruits is high.

(3) High-yield standards for the production situation of pepper plants

For pepper growers, properly cultivated and managed pepper plants distribute their pepper yield relatively evenly, not only having a higher early-stage yield, but also higher pepper yields in the middle and late stages.

This is my main way of judging high-yield peppers over all these years. I wonder how many of these your peppers can satisfy? Managing while planting, and checking for gaps to fill them, is the best way to manage peppers.
