How to care for orchids in hot weather? Use this method and they will sprout like crazy

When growing orchids in the hot, humid summer, many flower lovers pamper their orchids in every possible way, afraid that something might go wrong with them. But in summer, no matter how you prevent it, there are always various diseases launching an attack on your orchids. So, using this "method" can not only save sick orchids, but also make them sprout like crazy.
This "method" is the high-temperature division method. Although dividing orchids looks simple on the surface, there is actually a lot to pay attention to: whenever orchids fall ill during the hot, humid season, how to divide them properly and seal the wounds well becomes a question orchid growers need to think about. We often hear orchid-growing friends who smoke say that when dividing plants, they casually press a lit cigarette against the wound to scorch it, hastily completing the disinfection of the wound after division.
Drawing on this idea, when dividing orchids, flower lovers might as well heat the scissors red-hot and divide the plants directly and quickly, completing both division and disinfection in one step. This operation is fast, efficient and economical, and it can also prevent the invasion of diseases.
Generally, during the hot, humid season of the year, orchids are often infected by harmful bacteria, which triggers soft rot, stem rot, putrid rot and so on, forcing growers to perform surgical division to rescue and preserve the variety. So after division, sealing the wound and disinfecting the cut surface immediately, racing against the clock against harmful bacteria and blocking them from the healthy plants, is a task that concerns the life and death of the diseased plant.
Therefore, when repotting and dividing orchids in autumn and spring each year, you can also heat the scissors red-hot and divide the plants directly and quickly, so as to prevent trouble before it happens. Although heating the pruning tools every time appears to increase the workload, their performance during the rapid growth period afterward is the best reward.
How to perform the high-temperature division method: flower lovers choose garden scissors or a blade and place them over the flame of a gas stove to sterilize them. When the pruning tool turns red or dark red, quickly place the red-hot tool in the middle of the "road" of the pseudobulb to be divided, and directly and quickly separate the plant amid hissing steam and swirling vapor.
After division is complete, normal fertilization management can usually begin after 5-7 days of normal care. Flower lovers can use an organic liquid fertilizer specially made for orchids, diluted with water at a ratio of 1:500, and water the orchid roots with it once every 7-10 days to promote the growth of the divided plants, strengthening the plants and making them sprout like crazy.
Using this "method" for high-temperature division of orchids has many advantages. Since the ignition point of the red-hot division scissors reaches about 700°C, it speeds up the division, correspondingly avoiding the uneven wound surface caused by the crossing action of the scissors, and at the same time it can eliminate the transmission of viruses between different orchid plants caused by the pruning tool, and can also shorten the recovery time caused by division.
This method can also be used to perform division surgery directly on the orchid plant in the pot, without repotting, thus achieving the goal of safe division, and it is not restricted by season.
