Changhua County Attends Hong Kong "2017 Taiwan Fruits and Vegetables Festival" to Promote Premium Fresh Agricultural Specialties

Changhua County attended the Hong Kong "2017 Taiwan Fruits and Vegetables Festival" to promote Changhua's premium fresh fruits and vegetables. The "2017 Taiwan Fruits and Vegetables Festival" held its opening ceremony and media tasting event on November 23 at the Metropark Hotel in Hong Kong, China. Distinguished guests included Wu Ying-chen, Director of the Taipei Trade Center in Hong Kong, China, and Tai Chiu-yen, Manager of the Tourism Bureau's Hong Kong, China Office; Chin Che, Acting Confidential Secretary of the Changhua County Government, attended the opening ceremony on behalf of Changhua County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku to promote Changhua County's excellent agricultural specialties.

On-site, premium vegetables and fruits from Taiwan were used as ingredients to design a variety of delicious dishes for media friends to taste and sample, promoting premium agricultural specialties to more consumers through this event, and combined with promotional activities and on-site tasting and sales promotions at supermarkets, to recommend Taiwan's freshest, high-quality agricultural products to the people of Hong Kong, China.

To assist Taiwan's fresh fruits and vegetables in expanding into international markets and establishing a premium quality image, the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan guided relevant businesses in implementing the Taiwan Fruits and Vegetables Festival project, establishing long-term stable supply and marketing relationships with overseas channel operators, and achieving the goal of overseas channel operators continuing to procure from Taiwan.

In the future, the Changhua County Government will continue to guide and promote the export of more premium agricultural products, actively develop emerging international markets, and enable the county's premium fruit and vegetable products to shine brilliantly in overseas markets.
