Chasing the romance and happiness of "bamboo" - Hsinchu City creates new opportunities for the camellia industry

The Hsinchu City Government in this (ROC year 106) year guided camellia gardens and cooperated with rural communities to jointly develop camellia specialty products. On the 28th, it held the "Hsinchu Camellia Romantic Journey" results presentation. Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that he hopes the agricultural industry and communities can closely integrate, jointly drive the development of communities and the agricultural industry, and create a win-win situation.

Secretary-General Chen Chang-hsien attended the results presentation and stated that he himself was born into a farming family and has particularly deep feelings for agriculture and the land. This year's Hsinchu City Camellia Results Exhibition took "Hsinchu Camellia Romantic Journey" as its theme, divided into a documentary area, a local expert area, and a results presentation. After several months of industry guidance by a professional team, a Hsinchu City-exclusive "camellia token of love" was specially and carefully designed as the results presentation. It is also hoped that in the future Hsinchu City's camellia industry can develop into a "romantic happiness industry."

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that in order to promote business opportunities for urban-type rural development, the Hsinchu City Government guided the upgrading of the camellia agricultural industry and combined it with local communities, allowing communities to gain a deeper understanding of camellias and further integrate with the agricultural industry, assisting community development work. It is hoped that in the future, through mutual cooperation between camellia gardens and communities, a new industrial image of "Hsinchu City Camellia" can be established, driving the development of the camellia industry chain and jointly creating new development for Hsinchu City's camellia industry.

The Department of Economic Development stated that this year's innovatively developed "camellia tokens of love" include: beautiful camellia potted plants and landscape arrangements from various camellia gardens, the beautiful inside-and-out subtly fresh "golden camellia" (Camellia chrysantha), camellia-shaped handmade soap, camellia-shaped accessories, and more. If the public wants to give their beloved a memorable token of love and experience the romantic characteristics of Hsinchu City camellias, they are welcome to discover treasures at the major camellia gardens and communities in Hsinchu City.
