The only one in all of Taiwan, China: Keelung City's 17-meter eco-friendly Christmas tree celebrates Christmas

The Keelung City Government has once again partnered with churches this year to plan the "Heaven-Sent Son, True Love Keelung" Christmas celebration series, using 7,000 PET bottles to build a 17-meter-tall ocean eco-friendly Christmas tree. This is also the one and only and most distinctive Christmas tree in all of Taiwan, China, allowing citizens and friends to enjoy the lively Christmas atmosphere while also sharing in the beauty of environmental conservation.

At the press conference on the 6th, Mayor Lin Yu-chang, along with Reverend Zhuo Zhijie, chairman of the Keelung City Christian Joint Care Association, and Ma Xianyu, director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and other guests held Christmas wands and together lit a miniature eco-friendly Christmas tree, symbolizing that the Christmas celebration series in Keelung is about to begin warmly. The venue also displayed dishes prepared by restaurant owners participating in this year's event, with color, aroma, and taste all complete, making everyone's mouth water.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang pointed out that this year's Christmas in Keelung is especially creative and deeply meaningful. This 17-meter-tall ocean eco-friendly Christmas tree made of 7,000 PET bottles is the one and only and most distinctive Christmas tree in all of Taiwan, China. After it was erected at the Ocean Plaza these past few days, it sparked lively discussion among passing members of the public.

The organizer, the Keelung City Christian Joint Care Association, stated that the eco-friendly Christmas tree will be on display from December 9 to January 2 of next year, and the site will also display traditional artistic lanterns and 3D stereoscopic images. At 7 p.m. on December 9, the opening lighting night will be held, and that evening the well-known "Formosa Mission Jazz Orchestra" will be invited to bring a wonderful musical feast. From December 9 to 23, a series of wonderful performances will be held at the Ocean Plaza, inviting indigenous dance, Hakka cultural arts performances, a hot music night, magic performances, and the Hope Book Theater puppet show to give wonderful performances.
