These plants are so easy to grow: one stem cutting dropped into a pot roots and sprouts, filling the pot in three months:

Geranium: big, bright, colorful blooms, very beautiful and eye-catching, and grown well it can flower 300 days a year. Snip off a stem cutting at random and it will root even in water; direct cuttings are also very easy to keep alive.

When cutting a stem, a blade works better; then let it sit for one or two hours before sticking the cutting. Vermiculite or akadama both work, with a particularly high survival rate.

Hydrangea: the flowers are like pom-poms, opening one big bloom after another, very well suited to a balcony or terrace. Growing hydrangea is easy too: select a semi-lignified stem and root it directly as a cutting.

As long as the temperature is around 20 degrees, you can take cuttings. After cutting, keep moist and shaded, and roots start growing after ten days. Once four or five small leaves have grown, it can be transplanted into a pot. In spring and summer it blooms all over the branches.

Violet: the flowers are romantic and lovely, and it is actually not as hard to grow as you might think. A single leaf and stem can be rooted as a cutting.

Cut off a leaf, stick it into moist sandy soil, and place it in a cool, airy, semi-shaded spot; roots will grow in just over ten days. The flowers are beautiful and vivid.

Spider plant: whether it is a variegated spider plant or a golden-centered spider plant, pick off a runner with aerial roots and plant it in moist potting soil.

For the first week, keep it out of the sun, water to keep it moist and give it ventilation; it roots especially fast. As long as the soil is fertile and loose, it will grow like crazy and fill the pot.

Jade plant: the jade plant has an upright posture and evergreen leaves all year round, and it can be propagated from either a stem section or a single leaf. Choose a healthy stem, 10 cm long, with two, four or five leaves, all fine.

Stick the cutting into sandy soil or vermiculite, water but do not let it get waterlogged; in spring and autumn it roots especially fast, and one stem section quickly grows into a small jade plant.

Pennywort: round, green leaves with a particularly good symbolic meaning, well suited to a windowsill or living room. Just pull off a bit of pennywort with roots, drop it in a flowerpot, or in a pot with no drainage hole, grow it half in soil and half in water, adding some soil.

As long as there is plenty of sunlight, fertile soil and enough water, it can fill the pot in three months, lush and green and very beautiful.
