Nantou International Sand Sculpture Art and Culture Park is about to open!

"Nantou International Sand Sculpture Art and Culture Park" set sail in 2017, the only sand sculpture feat not relying on the sea. In 2018, good fortune rises to the top. Let us once again use Taiwan's rare salt-free, earth-scented special "Nantou Golden River Sand" to build the world's only sand sculpture art tribe that does not need to bask in the sun, telling Nantou's story through the most eco-friendly, nature-returning sand sculpture art, full of joy and with history, humanities and art.

Nantou Cultural Affairs Director Lin Rongsen said that this sand sculpture curation consists of nine major zones in total, including the entrance imagery, Pride of Nantou, Seeing Nantou, Art Passed Down Forever, Soaring Across the World, Environmental Protection Saves the Catastrophe, Re-evolution, Hope and Dreams, Sand Sculpture Competition and Creative DIY Zone. This time the works are all presented to international standards, and more than twenty sand sculpture masters from Japan, South Korea, Canada, China and Taiwan, China are invited to create, including the Statue of Liberty, the Roman Colosseum, the Sphinx, Nantou tea garden scenery... Each work is extremely detailed, and a parent-child DIY zone is also arranged so that the public can not only look at the sand, but also let children get close to nature. It is believed that this time's sand sculpture works will make people exclaim again and again.

Director Lin Rongsen further stated that in order to cultivate new sand sculpture masters, a sand sculpture competition was specially held on January 13-14 of the 107th year of the Republic of China with the main creative themes of Wang Wang Fu Lai Dao, Shi Quan (Quan) Shi Mei, and Nantou New World, allowing sand sculpture masters and interested young students to participate in creation together and add different thinking to sand sculpture.
