Nantou's 39 Premium Products and 15 Young Farmers Selected for the Top 100 in Agriculture, an Outstanding Achievement

"With love, no one is alone; joining hands to bring warmth in the cold winter and do charity together." On the morning of the 10th, the Nantou County Farmers' Association held the "Nantou County 2018 Taiwan Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations Top 100 Premium Products and Agricultural Achievements Presentation and Charity Sale" on the 2nd floor of the association. Nantou County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen, County Farmers' Association Chairman Hu Chia-chen, County Councilor and Standing Supervisor Hung Ming-ke, Director-General Tseng Ming-jui, and township farmers' associations together presented the 39 products selected for the Taiwan Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations Top 100 Premium Products, the 15 individuals selected for the "Fourth Top 100 Young Farmers," and the 2 farmers selected among the nation's Top 10 Outstanding Farmers. Magistrate Lin Ming-chen also presided over a charity auction, where guests at the venue generously opened their wallets and enthusiastically made purchases, raising a total of 100,000 yuan.

Magistrate Lin Ming-chen stated that under the active guidance of the Nantou County Farmers' Association and the township farmers' associations, the county's premium agricultural products have once again achieved outstanding results, with a total of 39 products selected this year, a truly impressive outcome. In addition, 15 outstanding young farmers were selected for the "Fourth Top 100 Young Farmers," and 2 outstanding farmers were honored among the Top 10 Outstanding Farmers, which is no easy feat. This is not only an honor for the county's agriculture but also worthy of recognition from all sectors.

In addition, the Nantou County Farmers' Association and the township farmers' associations also embodied the empathy of "feeling hungry when others are hungry, feeling drowned when others are drowning," pooling compassion to hold a charity sale during the presentation event, raising exactly 100,000 yuan to help the marginalized and disadvantaged Puli Township Bodhi Evergreen Village and the Christian Anisefer Children's Home. The association will also allocate 3% of sales from now until the Lunar New Year period to help more disadvantaged groups, hoping to spark greater resonance in society by throwing out a brick to attract jade. This dedication to social responsibility is truly admirable.
