Taichung World Flora Expo creates a City of Sweet Happiness

To welcome the upcoming 2018 Taichung World Flora Expo, the Taichung City Economic Development Bureau, in cooperation with the Taichung City Bakery Commercial Association, invited several well-known Taichung bakery businesses to incorporate flowers into pastries and bread, creating highly distinctive Flora Expo-exclusive products. Yesterday (the 15th), a Flora Expo product launch event was held. Through floral landscaping combined with Flora Expo-exclusive products, it felt as if attendees were in a dreamy dessert manor, allowing everyone not only to taste delicious pastries but also to enjoy a sweet atmosphere surrounded by floral fragrance, jointly welcoming the Flora Expo grand occasion at the end of this year.

On the 15th, the "City of Sweet Happiness - Flora Expo Bakery Product Launch Event" was attended by Taichung Deputy Mayor Lin Yi-ying, Economic Development Bureau Director-General Lu Yao-chih, Food Safety Office Director Hung Hsiu-hsun, Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee Director-General Tsai Shih-yin, Taichung City Bakery Commercial Association Chairman Chou Tzu-liang, and others. The event centered on Flora Expo pastries specially made by each bakery shop, paired with bread and dessert products, allowing diverse and uniquely creative Flora Expo products to bloom everywhere, in the hope that they will become the best souvenirs of the Flora Expo.

Taichung City Bakery Commercial Association Chairman Chou Tzu-liang stated that the association has long cooperated with various city government activities and is very grateful for the Taichung City Government's trust. The city government has already authorized the Flora Expo trademark, allowing shops and city government activities to achieve integrated exposure. He looks forward to the tourism benefits of the Flora Expo driving the development of the bakery industry, creating a new atmosphere and energizing the industry's pulse. He also called on visitors touring the Flora Expo to share souvenirs with relatives and friends, creating the impression of Taichung as a "City of Sweet Happiness."
