Over 1.55 Million Visitors in 19 Days: Pingtung Tropical Agriculture Expo Sets New Record

Pingtung Tropical Agriculture Expo breaks record! Since its opening on February 3, the Tropical Agriculture Expo has repeatedly set new attendance highs, surpassing one million in just 15 days, and by the 21st it had broken last year's record of 1,553,885 visitors, in only 19 days, setting a new milestone for the expo. Pingtung County Magistrate Pan Meng-an thanked people across the country for their enthusiastic support and welcomed everyone to keep coming to Pingtung to set records together.

On the morning of the 21st, the Pingtung Tropical Agriculture Expo held drums and gongs to celebrate the record-breaking moment, and it turned out that Ms. Lin Ya-ping and her family from Kaohsiung became the 1,553,886th lucky visitors, receiving specially prepared expo-limited Hello Kitty gifts from the county government, a stay voucher for Xiaokending Resort, admission tickets to the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, eagle red beans and other gifts worth more than 8,000 yuan.

Since the Pingtung County Government resumed holding the Tropical Agriculture Expo in 105, it has achieved over one million admissions every year. In the first two days of this year's opening, admissions surpassed 100,000, and during the consecutive Spring Festival holiday from the first day to the fourth day of the lunar new year, attendance exceeded 200,000 every day. The highest record was on February 18, the third day of the lunar new year, reaching more than 246,000 admissions; on that same day it also reached 1.13 million admissions, and in 19 days of opening it broke last year's record of 1.55 million, which is quite astonishing.

The organizers said that this year's Spring Festival holiday had warm weather, people were more willing to travel, and the expo has built a good reputation over three consecutive years, with visitors spreading the word and bringing friends along, which is why it reached the one million admissions target earlier than in previous years.
