The reason Shakespeare 2000 is loved by so many people is inseparable from its flower color. Anyone who has seen the color of Shakespeare will surely be captivated by that shade of red, a deep red that borders on purple. When it blooms it is like a mature woman, wantonly displaying her personal charm.

Shakespeare 2000 easily produces large flowers, and pushing out buds 10cm in diameter is no pressure at all. Its flowers are large and heavy, so they easily droop, which both affects its ornamental value and easily bends the branches, so when it blooms you should give it support, or better yet make a flower frame for it.

When caring for roses, fertilizer is very important. It is best to choose an ecologically safe organic fertilizer, rich and balanced in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, with various organic matter, minerals and amino acids added, to promote vigorous plant growth, produce more flower buds, bloom more and have a longer flowering period.

The flower color of Shakespeare 2000 is actually not a very standard red, but leans toward deep red or deep purple, so if the flower color is bright red, it may be caused by insufficient sunlight. It should be moved outdoors to get more sun, and the flower color will become deeper and more captivating. But if the weather is too hot, it should not be exposed to blazing sun; partial sun is enough. It fears heat and strong sun, and under blazing sun the flowers become soft and droop.

This rose is relatively drought-tolerant in winter, so you can water it less, once every 5 days or so is enough. In summer the flowers tend to become smaller, the color slightly lighter, and the petals fewer, so the soil should be kept moist, watering thoroughly once the soil dries out, generally once every two days depending on the weather, and never let water accumulate.

Because Shakespeare 2000 blooms large and blooms frequently, when mixing the soil you should add base fertilizer to ensure the plant's basic nutritional needs. Especially those that have put out branches but do not bloom, this is very likely the situation. When mixing the soil, you can bury bone meal at the bottom of the flower pot (if you do not have it, eggshells will do), and when the roots grow down to the bottom, they will just replenish the plant's nutrition.

When flower buds appear, you can supplement with some Huaduoduo water-soluble fertilizer, which helps promote flowering and makes the flower color more beautiful. Ferrous sulfate can also be used appropriately, as it both balances the soil pH and supplements iron. If water, fertilizer, sunlight and other conditions are all met and the rose still does not bloom for a long time, then consider changing the soil and repotting, adding plant ash and slow-release fertilizer to the new soil mix.
