2018 Chiayi Ruili Wisteria Season: A Limited-Time Romantic Purple Explosion! The annual Chiayi Ruili Wisteria Season blooms enthusiastically from March 10. The Chiayi County Government has launched a five-star flower-viewing season exclusive event. During the event, the public is invited to experience the No. 1 wisteria-viewing spot in Taiwan by density, two special experiences, three travel agency package tours, four distinctive local foods, and five major attractions freely connected in any order. In addition, from the 23rd to the 25th, a limited number of special experiences will be offered for three consecutive days (including guided tours by local experts, special DIY activities, and tea-tasting events)!

The Taiping Suspension Bridge, opened in 2017, was Chiayi's trendiest Facebook check-in spot and Instagram photo spot last year. Since early January this year, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and the Chiayi County Government have grandly launched an event in Meishan combining special performances, local cuisine, and sports marketing, receiving overwhelming praise. Next came the romantic Ruili Wisteria Season. In recent years, the wisteria season has become widely renowned, and the county government will also launch a series of leisurely experiences from April to June and July to September, including a firefly season and a tea-discovery tour, using Meishan's four-season features to market and boost the tourism industry.

Ruili's wisteria flowers have 5 major features. First, "Taiwan's No. 1 wisteria density": along Chiayi County Road 166, there is an average of one wisteria viewing spot per kilometer, with a total of 17 viewing spots along the entire route, making it the highest-density wisteria viewing area in Taiwan. "Two special experiences you must not miss": on March 23, 24, and 25, local experts will lead the public free of charge to explore Ruili's wisteria flowers and nearby hidden attractions, and through local tea-seat tasting experiences, showcase the seasonal tourism value of the Ruili area. "Three major travel agencies for convenient travel": combining three major travel agencies - Lion Travel, Star Travel, and Wufu Travel - to strengthen tour integration and exposure. "Four distinctive local foods": share the taste bud impact brought by Meishan's seasonal mountain produce, seasonal foods, Meishan tea, and coffee. "Five major attractions freely connected": Taiping Suspension Bridge, Zhuqi Yuantan Ecological Park, Fenqihu Old Street, the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, or Gukeng in Yunlin - connecting five major surrounding attractions.
