Taitung County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting Hopes to Draw on German Industry to Think About Taitung's Entrepreneurial Opportunities

The 2018 Roll Up Your Sleeves and Support Taitung Celebrity Dialogue series planned by the Taitung County Government held the Taitung Maker Forum at the Taitung TT Maker park on Mother's Day yesterday (the 13th), specially inviting German Industry 4.0 master Ulrich Sendler and Ptt co-founder Dai Chih-yang to hold a dialogue with five groups of young entrepreneurial teams that have expanded their business footprint in Taitung, discussing the niches and difficulties of entrepreneurship in Taitung and thinking about directions for solutions. Taitung County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting and CommonWealth Magazine president Wu Ying-chun also took part together, hoping that through dialogue among all sides, local identity could be consolidated and the characteristics of local brands could be identified.

TT Maker, located beside the Taitung coastline, is Taiwan's first maker space based on industry-government-academia cooperation; those who move in are all startup groups founded on and focused on how to develop Taitung. The forum began at 2 p.m. on the 13th. Magistrate Huang Chien-ting said that Sendler is a pioneer of Germany's push for Industry 4.0, and his book "Industry 4.0: The Fourth Industrial Revolution Is Coming" sold more than 200,000 copies in China alone; the software system industry exchange organization he founded, the "Sendler Circle," leads the discourse on Industry 4.0, and its members include more than 40 companies such as Siemens and SAP. The other participant was Mr. Dai Chih-yang, who simultaneously holds multiple identities as a site administrator, hacker, rock singer, and more; having long worked deeply in the internet and mobile commerce, he is also an entrepreneur. What thoughts the two will have about Taitung's environment and entrepreneurial teams is something to look forward to.
