Watering
Most succulent wreaths have sphagnum moss at the very bottom. There are gaps in this sphagnum moss, so even when it is soaked, the stems of the succulents will not rot from the water, because they have enough space to "breathe."
So, to water these succulent wreaths, you only need to soak the entire wreath in water for a few minutes. By the way, use room-temperature or slightly cool water, not hot water.
How often you water depends on where you live; basically, once the sphagnum moss dries out, you can water it.
Sunlight
Like all succulents, you have to make sure your wreath gets enough sunlight so that the plants do not stretch out. If these succulents stretch out, the wreath will look overcrowded. Also, you cannot put them in direct sunlight, especially leaving them outside during the hottest afternoon.
Although some fully rooted succulents can tolerate full sunlight, strong direct sunlight will quickly destroy the wreath.
Most doorways or porches and rooftops have some shelter. If your door faces south, you might consider hanging the wreath somewhere else, because in summer, the south-facing sun is very strong.
Lifespan
It does not need much pruning, and a succulent wreath can certainly last a summer. You can keep the wreath for many years, but you must properly trim some plants to keep their beautiful shape.
A wreath that is too tightly packed will eventually look messy, but if you cut off their heads, new growth will appear. In addition, you can also use the cuttings to make another wreath.
Winter
If the winter climate where you are can drop below freezing, then you need to bring your wreath indoors in winter. Make sure it is placed in a room with plenty of sunlight. If you feel these succulents have stretched out, you can wait until the end of winter and cut off their heads, or you can also use a grow light to provide light for your succulent wreath.
In winter, succulents grow very slowly, so they do not need much water, and you do not have to water once a week.
