Wenjiang Bonsai Exhibits at the Netherlands International Horticulture Expo

The Wenjiang District Bonsai Association of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, was invited to take part in the Netherlands International Horticulture Expo held from June 12 to 14 at the RAI International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the association organised 13 people from 6 companies to attend the expo. On this trip to Europe, the delegation was no longer just "talking on paper" but displayed actual bonsai specimens. More than 30 small bonsai of 5 varieties, including Buddhist pine, serissa and azalea, had already been shipped to the Netherlands in advance.

The Netherlands International Horticulture Expo is one of the most influential horticultural exhibitions in the world, having been held for more than 50 years, and it is unanimously highly regarded by people in the international horticulture industry. Wenjiang bonsai participating in an international flower exhibition with actual specimens for the first time is very exciting news for the flower and tree growers of Wenjiang.

In September 2017, the Wenjiang District Bonsai Association once organised a group to attend the Russia International Flower and Horticulture Exhibition, but for various reasons it was unable to exhibit actual specimens and relied on promotional materials as its main means of publicity throughout, with less than ideal results. For this participation in the Netherlands International Horticulture Expo, the Wenjiang District Bonsai Association communicated with a foreign trade company in advance and finally settled on small bonsai of 5 varieties, which were shipped out through the relevant procedures and delivered to the venue.
