Succulent watering has its finer points: pay attention to these few things to get through summer with ease

Depending on the succulent variety, the number of waterings also differs. If it is a summer-growing type, it needs to be watered one to three times a month in summer. If it is a winter-growing type, water sparingly in summer. It is best to water in the evening. Be careful not to get water on the leaf center.
1. Watering principles
(1) Different varieties need different watering frequencies. Adjust watering according to the specific type.
(2) Water along the edge of the pot. A small amount of water is enough; there is no need to soak it through. Just let the moisture spread through the medium on its own. However, if ventilation is good and the container is fairly breathable, then you can also water thoroughly. Choosing the quick soaking method is also fine.
2. Watering methods for different varieties
(1) Summer-growing type: this variety grows vigorously mainly in spring and autumn, so it is best to water more often during these two stages, about three to six times a month. In summer, to prevent the plant from rotting, it is best to reduce the number of waterings, and one to three times a month is enough. In winter, the succulent goes dormant, so once or twice a month is fine.
(2) Winter-growing type: this variety grows mainly in autumn and winter, so during these two stages, two to four times a month. In spring, as the temperature gradually rises, the number of waterings should be reduced, to one to three times a month. In summer, the plant goes dormant, so when you see that the soil is very dry, just water a small amount.
3. Watering time
It is best in the late afternoon or evening. The temperature is not too high at this time. Moreover, after a night of ventilation, any water accidentally left behind can also be evaporated.
4. Points to note
When watering, do not let water remain in the leaf center, otherwise it is prone to rot.
