Growing flowers isn't just about watering - pruning is just as important as watering

This pot of petunias of mine already burst into a full pot last year, and this year it has been blooming for two or three months, but the old leaves are withering more and more severely.

It's mainly my fault for not having time to prune it - the branches and leaves are too long and too many, so the water and nutrients in the potting soil are insufficient. Besides, when the branches and leaves are too dense, it's very easy for fungi and pests to breed.

Before this trip to Yunnan, I took the time to cut off all its branches and leaves, and just four or five days later, lots of new shoots had sprouted.

Many flower lovers may not know that pruning, like watering, is something you should do regularly when growing flowers.

When the branches and leaves grow very lush, you should prune appropriately, thinning out branches and shaping the plant; when leaves turn yellow, get pests or diseases, or develop various spots, you should cut them off promptly;

When the flowers fade, it's even more important to prune promptly. Like this jasmine of mine - before I went traveling, it still had tiny little buds, and today one flower has fully bloomed. Once it fades, I'll prune it, so it can bloom a second time very quickly.

I'll film a video then - do you want to see it?
