There are many reasons why an azalea wilts. If it is caused by overwatering, stop watering and switch to misting; if it is caused by improper repotting, let the plant re-adapt to its environment; if it is caused by not changing the soil for a long time, replace it with fresh soil.

1. Reduce watering

1. Cause: Watering the plant too much causes its roots to rot. This unhealthy state of root rot shows up as wilting in the plant's branches and leaves.

2. Solution: Stop watering the plant, but do not let it go short of water. At this point you can mist the surface of the potting soil, or mist the branches and leaves, keeping the environment around the plant moist.

2. Care for it gradually

1. Cause: The plant has adapted to its old potting soil environment. Suddenly moving it into new potting soil causes it to wilt.

2. Solution: Do some preparation before moving the plant into a new pot. For example, do not shake off the old soil from the roots; instead, transplant the plant into the new potting soil together with the old soil around its roots. If it has already been transplanted into new potting soil and wilts, then you need to add nutrient solution and give it time to adapt to the new environment.

3. Replace the potting soil

1. Cause: If the plant is not repotted for a long time, the nutrients in the old soil can no longer meet its needs, and the plant will wilt.

2. Solution: Change the soil about once a year. Before changing the soil, give the plant time to adapt to the new soil. After repotting, do not rush to water or fertilise; once the plant has fully adapted to the new soil, you can add nutrients and water it.
