The sweltering summer is here again, and many flowers have entered their dormant period. Flower lovers told Huahua that they are already tired of seeing roses and plumbago, and asked if I could recommend some other flowers. Today, Huahua will recommend a flower whose beauty can rival that of roses!

Do you flower lovers know what flower Huahua is going to recommend? The answer is revealed: Lisianthus!

The champagne-colored petals are packed tightly together, looking like a delicate young girl under the sunlight!

The purple and white interlaced petals remind Huahua of the rose variety "Torn Beauty's Face."

The pink petals are layered over one another, just like a little bun; flower lovers who like bun-shaped blooms must not miss it!

Now that you have seen the beautiful pictures, let's learn with Huahua how to care for lisianthus!

Daily Care

1. Soil

Lisianthus likes loose, breathable, nutrient-rich soil. Flower lovers can mix 5 parts garden soil and 4 parts coir bricks, then add one part organic fertilizer.

2. Flower Pot

The roots of lisianthus are relatively straight and long, just like its flower stalks, so it is best to choose a relatively deep flower pot.

3. Watering

Water according to the dryness and moisture of the potting soil. The recommended watering method is the soak-pot method.

4. Light

Lisianthus loves sunlight very much, and temperatures in the thirties of degrees Celsius will not have much effect on it, so there is no need to worry that the strong summer sun will affect the growth of lisianthus.

5. Pruning After Flowering

After lisianthus blooms, cut off the flower stalks. This can stimulate the production of basal buds. After the basal buds have fully grown out, the old branches can be cut off.

Cuttings

1. Cut off the flowering lisianthus branches, cut the branches diagonally into small sections, keep two leaves on each section, and it is best to cut the leaves in half.

2. For the cutting medium, choose a mix of half coir pith and half nutrient soil. When taking cuttings, first use a chopstick to poke a hole in the soil, then insert the branch, finally cover it firmly with soil, and water thoroughly.

3. Put a transparent plastic bag over it, poke a few holes in it, and place it in a bright and ventilated place. It will take about 10 days to take root.

4. After the lisianthus grows its second pair of new leaves, it can be potted up. After potting, first place it in a cool place for care, and after a week it can be taken out to see the sun.

5. Do not throw away the cut flowers. Trim them a little and put them in a vase, and they can bloom for several days!

Lisianthus of different flower colors will look even better when arranged together!
