Exactly, it's the butt!

But not all corgis have a butt like this.

The electric-butt move was actually developed for herding

Welsh Corgis are usually divided into two breeds: the Cardigan and the Pembroke. Since 1934, the American Kennel Club has recognized them as separate breeds.

Both corgi breeds have very diverse coat colors, but there are still some differences between the breeds. The biggest difference is that the Cardigan is larger, with a fox-like drooping tail; while thePembroke is smaller and traditionally has its tail docked, made into a flat rabbit-like tail, so they look tailless --that way their "electric butt" powers won't be overshadowed!

The Welsh Corgi originated in Wales, UK (this time the namer didn't play the usual trick of misleading with names). The word "corgi" in Welsh means "dwarf dog," which is very literal. Welsh Corgis have an average shoulder height of about 25 to 30 cm and weigh about 15 kg. They were originally bred to herd cattle and sheep. Their low stature was to keep them from being kicked by cattle. As for the traditional tail docking of Pembrokes, it was alsoto prevent an overly long tail (relative to the legs) from being stepped on by cattle and sheep。

A born obsessive-compulsive

Corgis are enthusiastic and quite smart, so they gradually came to be kept by people as companion animals. The most famous owner isQueen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom-- over the decades, she kept more than 30 corgis. The comedy film Johnny English jokes about the Queen's obsession with her dogs: in the film, terrorists force the Queen at gunpoint to sign away her right of succession. The Queen refuses outright, but when the gun is turned to point at her corgi and the beloved dog shows the classic innocent corgi expression, the Queen immediately signs obediently...

Because corgis were domesticated from herding dogs, they are all obsessive-compulsive to the maxand instinctively want to gather together all moving objects. When they are still puppies, they already nip at heels and line up every pair of shoes in the same direction (tsk tsk, the shoes can't even be left unaligned).

Super gentle and super playful

But apart from thatcorgis are good in every way. (Hey, since when is being tidy a flaw?) They are healthy, smart, agile, loyal and brave --even when facing aggressive behavior from larger dogs, a corgi will desperately protect its owner. More importantly, they have a strong sense of family and are especially gentle with "family members." They can not only play with small children and frolic with family members, but also get along well with other pets; yet once they meet strangers, they immediately become alert -- so they are also born watchdogs.

Corgis are very lively and active, and love going out for walks and playing with people. They need frequent exercise, and they also need some space to play. You can keep it indoors, but you must make sure to take it out to play every day.Corgis also like playing with small children. Tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, or even just chasing each other -- they love it all.

After reading this, do you feel a little disappointed: you clearly love corgis to death, but the objective conditions... make it impossible to keep one? No worries, try wearing an interesting corgi on your body!

Interesting

“The world of "physics dog" has a prism, and the light it refracts looks a bit different in a corgi dog's eyes --

“Math dog" -- the world has a heart-shaped curve, and corgis have... a heart-shaped butt --

“Biology dog" -- the world has fossils of tiny short arms, and corgis have their own little short legs!

“Chemistry dog" -- the world has glutamic acid, and corgis... no worries, just boil a meat bone and you've got it --

Not a science dog? There's also the super cute corgi "Easter egg dog" --
