Life always needs a bit of ceremony, otherwise it gets drowned in the ordinary. These little tips are worth learning~

Filling life with a sense of ceremony is something we often talk about. For example, taking photos before eating at a restaurant is a sense of ceremony, saving the ticket stubs from every movie is a sense of ceremony, and recording each day's little moments in a journal is also a sense of ceremony.

And for those of us full of girlish hearts, all kinds of flowers are an indispensable element of that sense of ceremony.

If you've seen The Devil Wears Prada, then you'll surely remember that every space the female devil occupies has carefully designed flower arrangements.

If you've seen Downton Garden, then you surely won't forget that those elegant afternoon teas never lack for elaborate or minimalist floral art.

That's right, the presence of floral art can make a space more beautiful, lift people's mood, and add the perfect finishing touch, just like how makeup must be paired with accessories, and eating fries must be paired with ketchup.

For some more formal ceremonies, professional floral design can create scenes with even greater visual impact.

Every flower has a beautiful meaning. As for when floral art began to be popular in arrangements for all kinds of party ceremonies, we have to start from the early days of ancient Greece and ancient Rome.

At wedding ceremonies back then, wreaths would appear, and the wreaths were meant to bring people good luck.

It wasn't until the mid-19th century that wreaths gradually evolved into all kinds of floral decorations, slowly becoming popular in various party ceremonies, to the point that they also influenced our daily lives.

Besides daily life, party ceremonies need floral art even more. So in these party ceremonies, where exactly is floral art used?

In general, it comes down to these three places:

  • Walls

  • Floor/Ceiling

  • Tabletop

Whether it's the check-in area, the ceremony area, or the photo area, wall decorations can provide a complete photo backdrop. Whether it's a green plant wall or just a touch of fresh flowers, it can make the backdrop wall more three-dimensional. How much floral art to design depends on how it pairs with other decorations.

If there are other large decorations, such as balloons, foam sculptures, etc., floral art can serve merely as an accent.

If floral art is the main focus, then the floral design becomes even more important.

For some larger party ceremonies, floor and ceiling decorations are also essential.

Floor decorations mainly consist of piled floral arrangements, which can be clusters of flowers or long strips of arranged flowers.

Ceiling decorations generally consist mainly of wreaths and hanging flower strings.

And tabletop floral decorations are essential for every party ceremony. Even without wall, floor, and ceiling floral decorations, table flowers will never be left out.

Table flowers don't need to be as complicated as those at every large wedding banquet. A simple transparent vase with one or two flowers, or a tiny "garden," or just some flowing green leaves accented with one or two flowers or candles, can all make the meal more romantic.

In addition, floral art can also be used in some other small places, such as the wedding car at a wedding, or the desserts on the dessert table.

When considering whether to add floral decorations, we also take budget into account. Different budgets in turn determine different types of floral art.

If the budget is relatively generous, then of course real flowers give the best effect.

If the budget isn't quite so generous, artificial flowers and paper flowers can be used instead. In wedding banquet arrangements, a common approach is to use real flowers and artificial flowers interwoven together.

And in scenarios that require a large number of potted plants, renting potted plants from the flower market is also a good choice.

Although paper flowers are made of paper, the price actually isn't cheap. But when large flowers are needed for decoration, paper flowers are the only option. In this case, there are three methods:

  • Buy ready-made paper flowers directly

  • Rent paper flowers

  • Buy materials and make paper flowers yourself

For some family parties and small gatherings, more people choose to make paper flowers themselves.

No matter what, floral art is already an indispensable element of party ceremonies. Floral art can give every ordinary day a greater sense of ceremony.
