Bougainvillea watering in summer requires care: points to note for potted plants

Bougainvillea, also called paper flower and lesser bougainvillea, comes in a variety of flower colors and is a rather beautiful ornamental flowering plant. Bougainvillea likes warmth and humidity, and should be grown in a spot with plenty of light.
Bougainvillea is a southern flowering plant, and if you want it to bloom more, especially when grown in the north, you need to do a good job of water control and pruning. In early summer, appropriately increasing the amount of water helps the branches and leaves grow. After the growth period, reduce the amount of water, which helps its flower buds develop.
Watering too much easily causes the plant to grow leggy, fail to bloom, and drop leaves and flowers; too much standing water can also cause root rot and death of the plant.
Summer has a lot of rain, so for bougainvillea grown outdoors you need to do a good job of rain protection. When watering, wait until the soil in the pot has dried out completely before watering.
