8 common houseplant care methods - once you learn them, you'll never fear growing plants again

These plants are really hard to please - too much water and the roots rot, too little and they die of thirst; too much fertilizer and they burn, too little and they won't bloom. The editor is truly helpless, but still can't resist loving flowers. Why is it so easy for others to grow plants? For this, the editor specifically asked an experienced flower farmer to see what plant care tips he has.
1. Golden Pothos
Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is afraid of cold, but if there is heating indoors and the temperature is above 10°C, water about once every 5-7 days, until water leaks from the bottom of the pot, and that is enough; if the temperature drops below 0°C, Golden Pothos can easily freeze to death. At this time, you can find a plastic bag to cover the Golden Pothos for insulation, and watering 1-2 times a month is enough.
2. Clivia
Clivia (Clivia miniata) grows normally at temperatures above 10°C. If the soil is loose, water once a week; if the soil is relatively compacted, watering once every 7-10 days is enough; when the temperature is below 10°C, Clivia enters a semi-dormant period, and watering about once every 10-15 days is enough. When the indoor temperature is below 0°C, Clivia can easily freeze to death.
3. Lucky Bamboo
Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) at temperatures above 10°C should be watered about once every 5-7 days; if it is hydroponic, changing the water about once a week is enough; if the temperature is below 10°C, Lucky Bamboo will pause its growth, so watering once every half a month is enough.
4. Spider Plant
Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is the kind of houseplant that easily adapts to a new environment, with very good drought tolerance. In winter, it is better to properly control and reduce the watering frequency. In winter, the potting soil should not be too wet, and do not fertilize it. Its root system is fleshy, and the potting soil is afraid of water accumulation.
5. Peace Lily
Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum), also called White Sails or Sail Plant, is most prone to the problem of the whole plant wilting during care. This is generally caused by lack of water, so Peace Lily cannot lack water. Use the watering method of letting the soil dry before watering thoroughly.
6. Kalanchoe
Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) is drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging. In winter, it can be watered once every 7-8 days; in spring and autumn, water about once every 3-4 days; in summer, water once every 5-7 days.
7. ZZ Plant
ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is another super drought-tolerant flowering plant, with large tubers at the roots. When watering, you must not water too much; if you water too much, the roots will immediately rot. ZZ Plant can use the watering method of preferring dry over wet.
8. Rose
When watering potted roses, you should use a watering can and avoid using a hose, which easily causes the potting soil to become compacted, and because the water flow is too strong, it easily causes the water not to penetrate thoroughly.
