It's raining outside again. I love this lazy life, brewing a cup of coffee, reading a good book, and when I get tired of reading, standing at the window to look at the succulents outside. This is perhaps the life that succulent growers yearn for.
Put on a song, looping endlessly. Pick off the dead leaves from the succulents, take some photos. Can time go a little slower, and slower still?
Orange Snowball - when it colors up it turns pink, round and pink and chubby, I absolutely love it.
Peach Egg - I don't know why they always grow very, very slowly, still like this after more than a year. Perhaps growing succulents is like raising children; walking with a snail applies to them too.
White Moon Shadow - one of my absolute favorite varieties, her color always makes her look like a fairy who has fallen into the mortal world.
Strawberry Ice - you are so beautiful, so beautiful, so beautiful, besides beautiful what else can I say?
Black Claw - probably the one that made the biggest comeback, not dwelling on the past and not fearing the future.
Qinxin - just like its name, it seeps into your heart, and seeing her makes you feel comfortable.
Unknown variety - growing happily in a tiny thumb pot.
Pink Crystal - crystal clear, that's her, it's just that her condition isn't great now, so quietly waiting for another spring and autumn, how about that?
Dharma Fu Niang - Fu Niang, also a name I like, like a young woman from ancient times.
Cream Yellow Peach - like a bouquet, she shows off her own beauty.
Thin-Leaf Blue Bird - when everyone loves the thick-leaf Blue Bird, they overlook her beauty. Not competing or grabbing, fairy-like to the extreme.
Maria - when she colors up she has blood spots, super beautiful. I gave her a little rabbit to keep her company.
Smoke Beauty, a somewhat less common variety, because there must be beauties in the harem. The thick powder gives her a touch of mystery.
Honey Peach, just like a ripe peach, a sweet feeling
Onsno, the jelly-colored Onsno always manages to catch my eye.
White Bear, a White Bear I've raised for over two years, always takes off its coat in summer. Then gives me a surprise in autumn, I hope the surprises continue this year.
Ice Plum, I was always pulled into the hobby by other people's Ice Plums; it seems every variety can have a thousand different states, learn to accept her imperfections.
Vanilla, like little flowers quietly blooming there
Snow Angel, perhaps she really is just a Monroe, but she really is beautiful, with a faint pink showing through
Ball Red Skirt, doesn't she look like a little sprite wearing a red dress?
Monroe, the variety I've grown the most of, over ten large and small ones, because I can never resist her beauty.
Cream Rose sp, her cream color in the rain, isn't she super beautiful
Ice Plum, another style of Ice Plum, faint jelly green, the color of summer.
Pink-Edge Moon Shadow, succulents of the Moon Shadow line all make you fall in love with them
Yellow Bear, grown from just a few leaves, full of a sense of accomplishment, he's a big fat bear
Lingxue, after being rained on, reveals a hint of shyness
Champagne, giving off a rich aroma, like a cup of aged wine.
Pansy, she's also faded in color, but this green version of her seems to have a different kind of beauty
Ice Jade hybrid, I suddenly realized I love every single one of them, she is elegant and refined
Peach Beauty, the rain faded her color, but a child grown from leaf cuttings, how could I not love her.
Riga, probably the toughest among the succulents I'm posting today, maybe he's a boy.
Baby Fingers, pink and tender, like a little baby you want to care for.
Snow Princess, an unknown hybrid, the leaf shape is a bit like Echeveria 'Tippy', but with a pink color.
Moon Shadow line, a little jelly-colored Moon Shadow, I've forgotten the name.
Pink Rabbit, she's more like a gentle, refined, graceful young woman, quiet and beautiful.
Alba Beauty - a little one with a whole family in tow, even squeezed into a tiny house she's full of happiness
Chang'e, where is your Jade Rabbit? Who are you missing that made you so thin....
Xiuyan, seeing her now the color of pork liver, can you imagine her beauty when she's red? Really beautiful! Rain makes succulents grow plump and lush, but they lose their coloring.
Ice Jade, another variety everyone loves, unfortunately I can't get her to color up.
Black Rose, also a magical variety, she can show all sorts of colors, and mine looks like this.
Cherry, cherry season has arrived, and the red edges on the succulent Cherry are becoming more and more vivid.
String of Coins, also a very fulfilling succulent, grown from tiny little heads, now succulents have all gotten cheap, but a child you raised from a baby always looks good no matter what.
White Moon Shadow, even common varieties can be this beautiful
Thick-Leaf Blue Bird, I rather like leggy succulents, but I still can't resist everyone's love for her.
Snowball, I love her very much, because she's full of fairy-like charm! Even indoors she can stand out.
Monroe, I don't know why she looks like this, but she really is a Monroe.
Ice Plum, another state of Ice Plum, look, even if she can't become someone else's Ice Plum, I still can't love her enough.
Lone Star, has a kind of cool and aloof feeling
Monroe, the largest Monroe of them all, elegant and luxurious
Wild Rose Sprite, another little sprite fallen into the mortal world, playful and cute
At some point, I fell in love with these succulents, and before I knew it I had a small balcony full of them, so I began to let my restless heart slowly settle down. Growing succulents is cultivating the heart; take a little time every day, sit by the windowsill, and watch the years pass peacefully. Life at this moment becomes simple and wonderful, a book, a cup of tea, a ray of sunshine, a balcony of succulents, this is my ideal life, and yours?
