A beautiful bowl lotus, delicate and dripping with charm. When the bowl lotus you grow at home just won't bloom, it can be quite a headache. Let's take a look at the reasons why bowl lotus won't bloom - only by finding the cause can you treat the problem properly.

(1). Insufficient light

Bowl lotus has relatively high light requirements. With long-term insufficient light, bowl lotus will struggle to bloom. Only under full-sun conditions will bowl lotus bloom, and the flowers will be even more vibrant.

If the light duration for home-grown bowl lotus is less than 6 hours, it will affect the blooming of the bowl lotus. It is best to place the bowl lotus on a balcony or windowsill that receives full sunlight for care.

(2). Improper fertilization

In the early stage of bowl lotus growth, if too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied, the bowl lotus will only grow stems and leaves, but this will affect blooming.

Before the bowl lotus blooms, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to promote flower bud differentiation, which is beneficial for blooming.

(3). Space is too small

When planting bowl lotus, if the plants are spaced too densely, the roots in the pot soil will become tangled, and the stems and root systems of the bowl lotus will be unable to spread out. This will affect flower bud growth, and the plant will struggle to bloom.

When cultivating, determine the spacing based on the size of the pot soil, so that the bowl lotus has enough room to grow, which is beneficial for root growth and promotes plant growth and blooming.

(4). Fake seeds

If you bought fake seeds, or seeds of poor quality, this can also lead to failure to bloom.

So when buying seeds, you need to select seeds of better quality and buy them from a reputable flower market.
