A first-floor home with a terrace garden where you can also keep small animals, it is truly comfortable to live in

My love for gardening goes back 7 years. Once I visited a friend's second-floor home to hang out. She had a small yard planted with lots of vegetables and flowers. I was captivated by that little yard at the time, and I felt especially at ease and relaxed in the yard, as if a heart locked up by steel and concrete had been set free. From then on I longed for it deeply, hoping that one day I could also have a yard like that. For several years, I kept striving toward this goal

I finally bought the place I live in now, a first-floor home with a terrace garden. After the handover, I could not wait to tidy up this little yard, drawing on a lot of flower-growing experience, and this year I finally saw some results. There are still many areas being continuously filled in and improved, and I welcome everyone's advice.

Finally got a complete family photo of the chicks

The chick that always runs over to steal the spotlight

The stone carving in the yard, "Xinyi" (Heart at Ease), was chosen after a long selection process and carved by a carving craftsman we hired, representing various hopes. First, it is a token of our feelings for my parents, hoping they can enjoy family happiness in this little yard, planting flowers and tending plants, and enjoy their later years in peace;

Second, I hope that no matter how chaotic the outside world is, in this little yard one can feel inner peace, undisturbed by honor or disgrace;

Third, because I was born in the Year of the Rabbit, and the character "yi" is made of "rabbit" plus the walking radical, my husband says it means the rabbit is in luck, hehe. I myself feel the character "yi" was carved vividly, like a little rabbit running happily.
