How to care for kalanchoe during its dormancy: when autumn arrives, buds will burst out of the pot

Many flower lovers find that their kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) at home is especially prone to yellowing leaves, rotting leaves and root problems in summer, and if you are not careful the whole plant will die, which is a great pity. In fact, as long as we master the care techniques for kalanchoe during its dormancy and get through summer properly, it is not difficult, and when autumn comes, it can bloom even more beautifully.
First, you need to place it in the right spot
A dormant kalanchoe needs very high ventilation conditions. The summer weather is very hot and stuffy, and if you do not pay attention to ventilation, it will easily die off. We can put them on a north-facing balcony away from direct light, and be sure to open the windows often to let air through.
Reduce watering
At this time the kalanchoe's ability to absorb water is very poor, so you must reduce the frequency of watering and avoid waterlogging. Otherwise, the roots will easily rot. Keep the soil slightly moist. That is, each time after we water thoroughly, take it to a well-ventilated place and let it dry out to half-dry quickly, then take it to a ventilated, shaded place and let it rest quietly there in dormancy. When the kalanchoe's soil has dried out completely again, water it in the same way.
Stop fertilising:
Under high temperatures, the growth of kalanchoe basically stalls, and it needs only a small amount of nutrients to sustain life. At this time, the nutrients in the soil are enough to supply the kalanchoe's growth needs, so we should stop fertilising now. Too much fertiliser cannot be absorbed by the roots and easily causes root rot.
Pay attention to the above points, and the kalanchoe will be able to get through summer safely. When the temperature drops in autumn, it can be moved to a sunny place to maintain normal care, and phosphorus and potassium fertiliser should be supplemented in time to promote flower bud differentiation and maintain short-day conditions. After about a month of this, the buds will come tumbling out and burst the pot.
