This village in Zhuji has been specializing in bonsai cultivation since the 1980s

Recently, Shi Yuanpin, a villager from Banxi Village in Yingdianjie Town, was pruning a bonsai. Banxi Village began cultivating bonsai in the 1980s and is one of the earlier specialized villages engaged in this industry. At present, more than forty households in the village still make bonsai, which can bring them hundreds of thousands of yuan in economic benefits each year. The villagers say with pride that if all the bonsai in the village were gathered together and lined up in a single row, they would stretch more than 3 km.
