Lucky Bamboo is a plant in the Asparagaceae family, also known as the fortune-bringing bamboo, and people associate it with the saying "flowers bloom in wealth, bamboo brings peace." Its leaves are emerald green, and its stems and leaves are elegant and full of charm, making it very popular. Lucky Bamboo grown in water easily gets yellow leaves, but as long as you do this: white roots will sprout like crazy, and green leaves will keep coming!

1. For newly bought Lucky Bamboo, trim off a section at the bottom, remove the old leaves at the base, and after soaking it in water, do not let it soak in too much water - just enough to submerge about 4 cm of the base. Then place it in a shaded, well-ventilated spot.

2. Newly water-grown Lucky Bamboo needs frequent water changes so the water stays clean. Do not expose it to strong sun, to reduce water evaporation. At this stage, do not add nutrient fertilizer - this is better for root growth.

3. Generally, white roots will grow in half a month to just over 20 days.

4. Newly bought Lucky Bamboo grown in water will have a few leaves turn yellow before it grows roots - this is normal. Once the roots have grown out, the leaves grow more steadily and become lush green.

5. When choosing Lucky Bamboo, do not pick one that is damaged. Light must not be too strong - only then can it be grown well.

6. If water-grown Lucky Bamboo has a few yellow leaves, cut them off immediately, and also clean off the layer of skin on the stem connected to them, to reduce water consumption.

7. In summer, do not place it somewhere too hot, and in winter, place it in a warm spot.

8. Replenish nutrients in time - for example, put rusty iron nails and iron pieces in the water, and wipe the Lucky Bamboo leaves with low-concentration beer diluted with water, once a week. The leaves will be so green they shine, and it will look very lively and beautiful!
