Asparagus fern (Asparagus setaceus) keeps turning yellow and dropping leaves. Never mind growing taller, it is practically about to die, right? Seeing other people's asparagus ferns grow so tall they almost poke the ceiling, aren't you envious? Today I will tell you about using this little secret trick to grow asparagus fern.

In everyday care, asparagus fern must be kept away from cooking fumes, and should not be placed next to a TV or air conditioner. It is best kept in a ventilated spot with bright, indirect light, watered when the soil is dry and left to dry out between waterings, and never allowed to sit in standing water. Generally, an environment that is too stuffy, or roots that stay too wet and airless for a long time, will both cause yellow leaves on asparagus fern. Another thing is to regularly mist the asparagus fern's leaves with water. If you have cared for it this way, why are the leaves still turning yellow? Don't worry, go to the kitchen, find a little white sugar for the asparagus fern, dilute it in water and pour it on, and this problem will be solved easily!

Asparagus fern

How to use:

1. Put 1 small spoon of white sugar into warm water and dissolve it, stir well. The ratio of white sugar to warm water is roughly 1:150. Taste it, it should be slightly sweet.

2. Put the sugar water into a spray bottle, then spray it directly onto the asparagus fern's leaves. After the asparagus fern absorbs the nutrients in the sugar water, the leaves will become more and more deep green!

3. Be careful not to use it too often. Generally once a month, and at most no more than 2 times. With long-term use, you will see that the asparagus fern is less likely to develop yellow leaves again.

A suggestion: once yellow leaves have appeared on an indoor asparagus fern, we can cut off all the yellow leaves, don't be reluctant to do it, then move it outdoors to a ventilated spot with bright, indirect light for care, and slowly the leaves will turn green again.
