How to grow four-season azaleas? Do these few things well and you will have flowers to enjoy all year round

Four-season azaleas are also called Belgian azaleas. When they bloom, their petals are relatively narrow and long. If grown well, they bloom continuously all year round. They are a very good ornamental plant. Many people like them very much and like to keep a pot at home to make the home full of life. So, how should azaleas be cared for properly?
1. Appropriate lighting conditions
Four-season azaleas like ample sunlight, so when caring for four-season azaleas, you should give them enough light so that they can grow flower buds and bloom continuously. However, one point worth noting is that in summer, when the light is strong, you should provide appropriate shade, otherwise they are easily sunburned, which can cause their leaves to wither and so on.
2. Soil requirements for four-season azaleas
Four-season azaleas like loose, breathable, fertile soil. Usually, when growing azaleas, a mixed soil of leaf mold, river sand, and sandy loam is better for growing them. Moreover, azaleas like slightly acidic soil, so when growing them you should also pay close attention to the acidity of the soil. If the soil is alkaline, adjust it promptly, because alkalinity will prevent azaleas from growing well and they will not thrive.
3. Fertilization for azaleas
When caring for four-season azaleas, pay attention to applying an appropriate amount of fertilizer. Do not apply too much fertilizer. Applying too much fertilizer will cause the plant to develop yellow leaves and other problems due to excess fertilizer. When fertilizing azaleas, just fertilize them once a month to provide enough nutrition during the bud stage for the azaleas to grow flower buds and bloom smoothly. If there is too little fertilizer, azaleas will produce buds but will not bloom.
