Sow the seeds of hope, reap the joy of labor

Bonsai is one of China's outstanding traditional art treasures, a kind of "three-dimensional painting, silent poem," and it has high ornamental value. In order to let students experience the purpose of "happy learning, healthy living," on June 12, 2018, Hengshi Town Central Primary School in Nankang District carried out a bonsai planting activity for teachers and students, letting students experience the joy of labor and reap the happiness of success.

On April 2, 2018, the bonsai planting activity for teachers and students was officially launched, and the school distributed flower pots, seeds and tools to each class. Before the activity, under the organization and leadership of the teachers, the students first learned some basic knowledge about growing and caring for flowers, brought soil from home, and painted various patterns on the flower pots.

The pot after pot of plants were full of vitality, and together with the wonderfully brilliant explanations of the docents, they presented the judging teachers with a feast for both the eyes and the ears. Through this activity, every student experienced the fun of planting, and also felt that "one plant, one love," and better understood the truth that "sow a seed, reap a wisp of fragrance; shed a drop of sweat, reap a share of success." It is hoped that the children on today's campus can all become flower-season youths who are "as elegant in words and deeds as flowers, as pure in heart as flowers, as firm in will as flowers, and as brilliant in growth as flowers!"
