Pothos, you could say it's a must-have in every home. Today I'm sharing a great propagation method with you - it roots in three days, every pot survives, and you'll never have to spend money buying one again! When it comes to pothos, everyone is surely familiar with it - you could say it's a flower almost every household keeps! Today, Chengcheng is sharing a great pothos propagation method with you, so one pot becomes two, two pots become many, and you'll never have to spend money buying one again!
How do you propagate it?
First, pick out the stems for propagation. Choose some relatively sturdy old stems and cut them into sections with aerial roots.
Second,Once the stems are chosen, find a tray and a plastic box. Drill a few holes in the bottom of the plastic box, then fill the box with vermiculite and place the box inside the tray.
Third,Insert the cut stems into the plastic box filled with vermiculite, then pour water into the tray. Because vermiculite has very strong water-absorbing and water-retaining properties, in 3-5 minutes it will soak up all the water, so there's no need to water additionally.
After propagating, just place it in a spot with bright indirect light, not in direct sunlight. In this season, it generally takes about 7 days to root, and about 20 days before it can be transplanted.
One thing to remind everyone:Although pothos is easy to grow, when transplanting you should still use loose, breathable soil for it. Even 30% garden soil mixed with 70% river sand can basically ensure it's loose and breathable - never use only garden soil to plant it!
