Pothos is one of the most common flowering plants in the home. It not only adds a different touch of color to a room but also purifies the indoor air. However, when grown in summer, yellowing leaves always seem to appear. Don't worry - below we introduce several special solutions. Pour them over the pothos and it will grow rapidly, with lush green leaves.

Rainwater

It is the rainy season right now, so when it rains we can use some basins or buckets to catch the water. When it is time to water the pothos, just use rainwater, because rainwater contains some of the nutrients the pothos needs, and rainwater does not contain the nitrogen found in tap water. So using rainwater to water the pothos is more beneficial to its growth, and this will make a pothos on the brink of death become full of life again.

Beer Water

First, prune off the unhealthy stems and leaves of the pothos, leaving only the branches with relatively good roots. After pruning, place the pothos in a bright, well-ventilated environment to care for it. Once the soil has dried out completely, water the pothos thoroughly. You can occasionally add some beer, which can kill bacteria in the potting soil, reduce pests and diseases, and also help the pothos sprout faster. Basically, after half a month, new shoots will grow out, and then you can care for it normally.

Milk Water

One reason pothos does not grow well is overwatering, which keeps the root system in a moist state for a long time and causes the roots to rot. So we can only select some of the better branches, then keep only the top two leaves or one new growth bud, so that they will not waste extra nutrients. Then insert them into the soil as cuttings, pour a layer of pure milk over them, and grow them in a bright, well-ventilated environment. Very soon the pothos will fill the whole pot.
