With proper pruning methods, gardenias bloom all over the branches every year, abundantly and fragrantly

Pruning gardenias is very important. Regularly pruning overly dense branches, old branches and diseased branches can avoid the consumption of nutrients, and also promote the growth of side buds, making the flowers bloom more abundantly and fragrantly. Let's take a look at the pruning methods for gardenias!
Pruning methods for gardenias:
(1). The timing for pruning gardenias is generally around May to July and around December. Proper pruning can promote the growth of side buds and ensure the amount of blooming.
(2). Pruning generally involves cutting back leggy branches, removing the top 2~3 pairs of leaves. Also prune weak branches and branches that affect the plant's shape, to maintain the plant's form.
(3). Prune flower buds: thick, sturdy branches generally only need to keep 2~3 flower buds, and all other flower buds are cut off; weak branches keep one flower bud, or cutting them all off is also fine. This allows the flowers to bloom larger and more fragrantly.
(4). After pruning, carry out sterilization and disinfection to avoid infection by pathogens. You can use a solution of carbendazim diluted 1000 times to spray the plant.
(5). Combine pruning with fertilizing. Applying fermented organic fertilizer in time can promote the growth of the gardenia's bud points.
