Bury a few cloves of garlic in the soil, and every last insect and ant will be wiped out, not one left

Growing flowers is beautiful, but once summer comes, it is easy to attract bugs. Never mind bugs on the leaves, even the pot is full of them. If you do not deal with them in time, there will be more and more, which is enough to drive you crazy! Here are some bug-killing tricks from Huahua, so put them to use right away~

Garlic kills bugs

Garlic has a strong smell, which is highly irritating to bugs but has little effect on flowers and plants, and it also has a sterilizing and disinfecting effect

1. Garlic water kills aphids

Crush the garlic and add some clean water (at a ratio of 1 clove of garlic to 50 ml of water), soak for about 3 hours, then filter it. Put the water into a small spray bottle and spray it on the spots where the bugs are

2. Garlic drives away ants, nematodes and earthworms

Bury chopped garlic directly in the flower soil. It can not only serve as fertilizer, but also drive away ants, nematodes and earthworms in the flower pot, achieving two things at once. However, do not put in too much; generally 2-3 cloves of garlic are enough

Chives kill bugs

The smell of chives can also kill bugs, and the principle is similar to that of garlic. Note that only green chives work; hotbed chives have a weaker effect

1. Chive juice kills aphids and red spider mites

Decide the amount based on the size and number of your flowers. Huahua has 3 potted Chinese roses, so 10 chives were used. Chop them up and mash them, then soak them in 1000 ml of clean water. You can cover it with plastic wrap and leave it overnight

After leaving it overnight, the pungent smell of the chives comes out. Filter it and spray it on the spots where the bugs are, once every 1-2 days. About 3 times is enough to wipe out the bugs

Onion kills bugs

Onion contains volatile propylene sulfide. Even people cannot stand the smell, let alone bugs. It can not only repel insects, but also sterilize

1. Onion water kills bugs

Chop 1/4 of an onion, add 500 ml of clean water, and soak overnight. The filtered onion water is enough to water 2-3 pots of flowers

Onion water can be sprayed on the leaves or poured into the flower pot. It not only has no effect on the flowers, but can also serve as flower fertilizer to make the flowers bloom better

Facing Heaven chili kills bugs

Using chili to kill bugs is actually quite common. It can even kill bugs on green vegetables, let alone bugs on flowers. Huahua suggests using Facing Heaven chili here, as its spiciness is strong and its killing power is greater

1. Soak chili in water

Smash the Facing Heaven chili with the flat side of a knife (chopping it makes it easy to get the spiciness on yourself), put it into a plastic bottle, add water at a chili-to-water ratio of 1:500, screw on the lid and soak overnight before use. If you have many flowers at home, you can store more so that whenever there are bugs, you can spray at any time

2. Boil chili water

If you do not have Facing Heaven chili at home, you can boil water with dried chili shells. Boil 5-10 chili shells with 600-1000 ml of clean water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for a while. After turning off the heat and letting it cool, it can be sprayed on flowers to kill bugs

Pig skin and chicken bones as traps

This method mainly deals with ants. Once summer comes, ants easily become a plague. Once one ant appears at home, there will be a whole nest of ants, so you must trap and kill them early!

Pig skin and chicken bones trap and kill ants

Prepare a small piece of pig skin (preferably cooked) or a chicken bone and place it 20 cm away from the flower pot. In about half a day, the ants will gather at the meat, and at that point prepare insecticide and wipe them out in one go

Ants are sensitive to the smell of meat skin and bones. Once they find the target, they will frantically come to carry the "food" away. At this point, all you need to do is wait and you can wipe out all the ants

Fellow flower growers, do not ask whether killing ants is too cruel, okay? Ants reproduce quickly, breed within a year, and breed year after year. If you do not get rid of them, the house will be hollowed out!
