Still buying flower fertilizer? Today Huahua will show you how to make your own enzyme flower fertilizer from kitchen scraps - simple, easy and money-saving!

How to make enzyme flower fertilizer at home?

Steps

1. Find a clean plastic bottle, porcelain container, clay pot or plastic bucket - anything non-metal will do. Wash it and add water to 60% capacity.

2. Chop up leftover fruit, vegetables, beans, tea leaves, seaweed, etc., and put them in the bottle. Be sure to leave a little space to prevent the liquid from overflowing during fermentation.

3. Sprinkle a layer of brown sugar or dark brown sugar into the bottle and stir well. Note that the ratio of dark brown sugar to fruit and vegetable scraps to water is roughly 1:3:10.

4. Put the lid on, but don't screw it too tight. Open the lid every 1-2 days to release the gas.

5. Stir evenly about once a month to ensure thorough fermentation. Fermentation is complete after about 3 months.

6. Successful fermentation is marked by the production of a yellow liquid. If there is none, you can continue adding brown sugar in the same ratio and let it keep fermenting.

How to water flowers with homemade enzyme?

Once the enzyme is ready, it cannot be used directly to water flowers. It must be diluted with water 1000-1500 times to avoid fertilizer burn damaging the roots and leaves.

Steps

1. Filter the enzyme, then use a dropper or syringe to draw about 10ml and add it to a basin.

2. Add clean water to the basin, dilute 1000 times, stir well, and it's ready for watering flowers and fertilizing.

What other uses does the enzyme have?

Homemade eco-friendly enzyme can not only water flowers and fertilize, but also remove dirt.

1. Pour the undiluted enzyme liquid into drain pipes and toilet bowls to remove dirt, unclog drains and eliminate odors.

2. Wrap the filtered residue in gauze - it can be used to clean kitchen grease, wash dishes and scrub floors effectively.
