Introduction

Potted green plants are essential decorative elements of home life; they beautify the room and also delight the mood and nurture the character. Keeping some flowers and plants at home has many benefits. "Flower Sound Potted Plant Diary - Issue 1066" introduces you to a vine flower very much worth having.

Today's Featured Plant

Vine plants refer to those that cannot grow upright and can only climb with external support; wherever they climb, flowers bloom there. Well-known ones include clematis, waxflower (Hoya), and Rangoon creeper (Combretum indicum). They are excellent vertical greening materials and can be made into flower walls, flower columns, and arches. The flower introduced in this issue is named Blue Rain, a newly emerging and much-loved vine flower.

Blue Rain

Blue Rain, also called Blue Rainy, is a perennial vine plant of the genus Rosa in the family Rosaceae, a new type of rose. It was bred in Germany in 2012. It produces small to medium-sized flowers about 6 cm in diameter, double-petaled, with a peony-like flower form. Its flower color is the rare light purple in nature, fresh and elegant, and the flowers carry a faint fragrance similar to the scent of fruit, rich and fragrant.

Large flower quantity, long flowering period

Blue Rain blooms very readily, repeating bloom in multiple seasons. With proper care, flowers can be seen in all four seasons, and the flower quantity is very large, opening in multi-headed clusters. Once it blooms, the flowers cover the branches, and the flowers all over the tree are extremely spectacular. Most rose varieties are not heat-tolerant, but Blue Rain does not have this problem; even in the hot summer, the flower form still remains very good.

Easy care

Although Blue Rain is a vine, with more attention to pruning it can also be cultivated as an upright small shrub, or made into a hanging potted plant placed on a balcony. When it reaches full bloom, it will "bloom so much it fills the pot," prettier than many herbaceous flowers. Daily care is also relatively simple: place it in a spot with light, water when the potting soil is dry, and leave it alone when it is not dry. During the spring growing period and full flowering period, remember to apply thin fertilizer frequently.

Balcony becomes a garden

Turning the balcony or courtyard at home into a private small garden is, I believe, a dream many flower lovers have. If you already have other potted herbaceous flowers, you might as well add a Blue Rain. Its unique light purple flowers are eye-catching, its flowering ability is excellent, it shows flowers in all four seasons, and it is also a vine plant. Make a support to guide its climbing; wherever it climbs, flowers arrive there. Turning the balcony into a garden is no longer a dream.
