Come with Mu Xiaomu and see the world together

Mu Xiaomu is a little one who has just turned two. Though young, Mu Xiaomu has already been to many places: Poyang Lake, where birds darken the sky as they fly; the Xishuangbanna rainforest, full of surprising discoveries; island volcanoes that witnessed the shifts of land and sea... Nature is so fantastically wonderful. The more I see, the more I want to understand. So I just can't hold back this heart that wants to go out and see the world.
This summer, Mu Xiaomu wants to see the flowers of the plateau and explore the lively bustle of the rainforest. I also want to go to Xishuangbanna to visit last year's elephant friends, and go to the Qinling Mountains to look for those magical animals that appear only in fairy tales. But going far away is such a joyful thing, and it should be done with friends. After much thought, summer is undoubtedly the most suitable time. Kids have summer vacation and can bring their busy moms and dads out for a change of scene; grown-up friends can also take advantage of the children's holiday to strengthen their bond with the little ones; and of course, grown-ups and kids who want to go out on their own are welcome too.
So, would you like to come with me and see this world?
Mu Xiaomu's Summer Playmate Recruitment
NO.1 Tropical Rainforest Fantasy Journey
The Sabah tropical rainforest in Malaysia is the first stop this summer. In the world's second-largest tropical rainforest, there is as much wonder as in the Amazon: swifts and bats filling the sky, fluorescent microorganisms shining like stardust, and brilliantly colorful sunbirds of every kind. The Sabah trip is not only a dazzling natural history journey, but also a cultural journey to understand the distinctive lives of local Chinese communities and indigenous peoples. For more about Sabah, you can refer to the travelogue by Xiong Tongzi, who secretly ran off to Malaysia to scout it out: Sabah Travel Notes | A Tipped-Over Palette (you can click it).
Mu Xiaomu's Borneo Tropical Rainforest Journey:

NO.2 Qinling Magical Animal Visit Journey
The second stop is the Qinling Mountains. This important mountain range, together with the Huai River, divides northern and southern China, and it is also a fertile land that shelters many national treasures. The crested ibis, once nearly extinct in the wild, has made a comeback here; the brightly colored Qinling golden snub-nosed monkeys dart freely through the forest; and the giant panda, deeply loved by Chinese people, continues its ancient and leisurely life. We will walk into the Qinling highlands to catch a glimpse of the homeland of these magical animals; we will use scientific tracking and observation methods to understand their secret lives; we will follow their footprints, but will not disturb their original free life.
Mu Xiaomu's Qinling itinerary:
Camp Highlights
This Qinling summer camp will takewildlife surveys and experiencing reserve workas its main thread, encompassinginsect surveys、bird surveys、mammal surveysthree major categories of activities. During the course, children will join professional staff from the Changqing Reserve to learn how to survey the species richness of an area, how to study animal behavior, and how to safely coexist with nature. The protection station where we stay is located in the Qinling mountain forest, where you can experience the quiet comfort of being close to the forest and far from the noise of the city.
NO.3 Colorful Yunnan Natural History Journey
The third stop is Xishuangbanna, where we have many old friends. We have revised last year's tiring itinerary so everyone has more time to discover the beauty of Xishuangbanna's monsoon rainforest. We will open the door to the monsoon rainforest with our five senses, learn about the characteristics of rainforest plants, and uncover the secret agreements between insects and plants. We will witness countless magical stories unfold and conclude, and applaud life's intricacy and effort. We will also visit our elephant friends in Wild Elephant Valley. Befriending animals as emotionally delicate as elephants should be a happy thing. The local Dai people have lived here for generations, and they have deep bonds and connections with the rainforest. Visiting them will not only let us experience ethnic characteristics, but also gain us much.
This year's optimized Xishuangbanna itinerary:
Camp Highlights:
1、People and the rainforestas the main thread;
2. In-depthauthentic ethnic cultureexperience;
3、Senior naturalist guides from the tropical botanical gardenleading throughout;
4. Birds, beasts, insects, and fish without pause: the entire camp is filled with constant encounters with new animals;
5、Layer by layer, going deeperinto the course content: the ecological experience of the tropical rainforest, the Dai people's way of living with the rainforest, and finally reflecting on the new relationship between people and the rainforest.
NO.4 Western Sichuan Tibetan Area Natural History Journey
For the last stop of this summer, Mu Xiaomu chose Zegen Tibetan Village on the Western Sichuan Plateau. Just thinking about stepping into the sea of flowers across the summer plateau makes my hands tremble with excitement, doesn't it? The legendary natural history holy land of Baoxing, the ancient Jiarong Tibetan area, and the alpine pastures where the starry river falls across the sky - just being here is already an unforgettable memory. We have the leisurely yaks, the clean and flawless blue sky, and the touchable blue poppies and the golden pheasants that urge you to get up early; all that's missing is you, to bow together to the holy mountains amid overwhelming happiness. It is said that if you eat panda poop you picked up yourself, you can become as cute as a panda. (Just kidding.)
An itinerary for (not only) seeing flowers on the plateau:
Camp Highlights:
1. Admirealpine animals and plants, stationed on hillsides covered with flowers and filled with stars;
2. Visita natural history holy land, walk intoprimeval forest,to look for traces of wild giant pandasand experience the life of a naturalist;
3. Personally experienceauthentic Tibetan life, gain a comprehensive understanding of Jiarong Tibetan culture, and deeply experiencealpine pastures。
That's the itinerary for Mu Xiaomu to see the world this summer! I hope everyone will scoop up Mu Xiaomu, who eats dog food every day, and let's roam (hao) the (hao) ends (xue) of (xi) the earth together.
