Grow asparagus fern this way for a fuller, denser, lush green plant that shoots up fast

Asparagus fern (Asparagus setaceus) stays green all year round, with an elegant and graceful form. If you want it to grow lush and full, master sensible care methods such as soil mixing and watering. With proper care, asparagus fern can become dense and deep green.
(1). Soil mixing
For asparagus fern, choose a fertile, loose, well-draining sandy soil. Place a suitable amount of small gravel at the bottom of the pot to aid drainage and prevent the drainage holes from clogging. Add a suitable amount of base fertilizer to the soil to help the plant grow quickly, but do not add too much, otherwise it can easily burn the roots.
(2). Watering properly
In spring and autumn, water according to how dry the soil is, watering only after the soil has dried out completely; in winter, reduce watering and just moisten the soil surface; in summer, when temperatures are high, besides increasing watering appropriately to keep the soil slightly moist, also spray water frequently on the asparagus fern and its surroundings. This maintains high humidity, which helps the plant grow and also prevents yellow leaves. Dry air can cause yellow leaves on asparagus fern.
(3). Appropriate light
Asparagus fern is shade-tolerant, but it still needs to be kept in a spot with bright, indirect light, which helps it grow lush and full and lets the plant photosynthesize better. In summer, provide some shading to prevent the leaves from turning yellow and drying out from scorching sun.
(4). Regular pruning
Asparagus fern grows quickly. Pruning not only helps keep it compact but also maintains the plant's shape. Pruning encourages new branches to sprout and prevents the waste of nutrients. Regularly prune branches that are too dense; old branches, weak branches and diseased branches all need to be cut off. When a new branch of asparagus fern reaches a certain height, remove the growing tip so the plant stays short and sturdy and branches out more. During the growing season, if the leaves at the tips of the branches are not growing well, the main branches can be cut back.
