Planting sugar mandarins is best done in February to March. Before planting, cut off part of the branches and leaves and the main root of the sapling. After planting, firm the soil and water thoroughly. In everyday care, keep the soil moist; during the growing period, you can trim off curled leaves as appropriate. Fertilize appropriately; you can apply a dilute fertilizer, generally once or twice a month.

I. Planting technique

Planting sugar mandarins is best done in February to March. Before planting, cut off part of the branches and leaves of the sapling, cut off the main root while keeping the fibrous roots, then after planting backfill the soil and firm it down, cover the tree basin with a layer of grass, and water thoroughly.

II. Management

1. Watering: Keep the soil moist, generally watering once every 2-3 days. Do not let the potting soil get too dry, and when watering, try to water thoroughly in one go.

2. Pruning: During the growing period, you can trim off curled leaves as appropriate. This reduces the consumption of nutrients and water and is more beneficial to its growth.

3. Fertilizing: Fertilize appropriately; you can apply a dilute fertilizer, generally once or twice a month. If the plant is growing weakly, do not fertilize too much, as this can easily cause fertilizer burn.
