Fellow flower lovers all know that some potted plants spread extremely well. Hang them up and leave them alone, and they can grow into a waterfall.

!

Below, Huahua introduces a few of the best potted plants for hanging on a windowsill.

String of Coins

YANG HUA DA QUAN

String of Coins, as the name suggests, looks like strings of threaded copper coins, and its shape also resembles heart-shaped buttons, so it is also called Button Vine or Million Hearts.

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Soil: String of Coins

can grow in any soil,

but it fears waterlogging, so the soil must drain well.

Water:

It is highly drought-tolerant, so you can wait until

the potting soil is completely dry before watering. When the air is too dry, spray water on the leaves to increase humidity.

2. Fertilizing

String of Coins has a low demand for fertilizer. Use a dilute liquid fertilizer once a month, and be careful not to make the concentration too high.

。

3. Light

For daily care, just place it indoors in bright light; a spot by the eaves or windowsill is even better. In spring and autumn, you can extend the lighting time. In summer, when the light is strong, you can block it with a curtain.

4. Choosing a Container

For plants like String of Coins, it's best to use a hanging pot. Fellow flower lovers can choose the material and size according to their own preferences.

Ivy

YANG HUA DA QUAN

Ivy has very attractive leaf shapes and stays evergreen all year round, symbolizing longevity and eternal youth~.

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Soil: Ivy has low soil requirements. As long as it is not alkaline soil, ordinary loose soil will do.

Water: If you want a full, lush pot, it's best to keep the potting soil moist. Insufficient water can easily cause leaf drop.

2. Fertilizing

Ivy likes fertilizer. During the growing season, apply diluted liquid fertilizer once every two to three weeks. For plants that have already taken shape, reduce fertilizing appropriately, and stop fertilizing in winter.

3. Light

Ivy likes light, but avoid direct strong light. When caring for it, try to place it in a living room with bright indoor indirect light.

Burro's Tail

YANG HUA DA QUAN

Burro's Tail has a faint pink glow on its surface that gradually turns to tender green, clustered together in strings like jade, lustrous and lovely. It is a succulent plant very well suited to hanging-pot care.

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Burro's Tail is drought-tolerant, and its roots should be kept dry, so it likes well-draining soil. You can mix peat soil and granular soil at a 1:1 ratio, and water after the medium dries out.

2. Fertilizing

Burro's Tail does not like heavy fertilizer. Usually, applying a light liquid potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer once a month is enough.

3. Light

Burro's Tail loves sunlight very much. Apart from the strong light of summer, it can basically grow very well in a ventilated spot on a balcony. If there is not enough light, Burro's Tail will become leggy.

String of Pearls

YANG HUA DA QUAN

String of Pearls has a very delicate and elegant appearance. Hanging down like a curtain, its strings of plump, emerald-green "pearls" are round and lovely. Huahua really likes it~

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Soil: Soft, fertile soil is more suitable for the growth of String of Pearls. Fellow flower lovers can line the bottom with tile pieces, or mix coarse sand and stones into the soil to increase air permeability.

Water: String of Pearls is drought-tolerant and has a low water requirement. Never water frequently in summer; better dry than wet.

。

2. Fertilizing

String of Pearls does not need frequent fertilizing in summer and winter. In spring and autumn, you can apply additional fertilizer several times. If you want the pearls to be plump and round, you can often spray a little monopotassium phosphate on the leaf surface.

。

3. Light

String of Pearls can be placed on a windowsill and given appropriate light. Never expose it to strong sun, to avoid sunscald. In summer, provide shade when caring for it.

Jinping Vine

YANG HUA DA QUAN

Jinping Vine is also known as "A Dream of Curtains." Its aerial roots are very vigorous, hanging down thread by thread like a curtain. Just like its name, it has a very dreamy and poetic mood.

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Soil: Jinping Vine is drought-tolerant and highly adaptable to soil. Ordinary soil, yellow earth, and sandy loam can all be used for planting.

Water: During care, watering about once every 2 days is enough. Be careful that the soil does not become waterlogged and that drainage is good.

2. Fertilizing

You can apply a light fertilizer once every two or three months, and always keep it well ventilated.

3. Light

Jinping Vine likes sunlight and tolerates high temperatures. It is best planted outdoors in a spot with ample light. In summer, Jinping Vine can be used for shade and heat insulation and to decorate a corridor, making it very cozy and leisurely.

String of Hearts

YANG HUA DA QUAN

When Huahua first saw String of Hearts, it was drawn in by its romantic heart-shaped leaves. Hanging in front of a window, it is as romantic as a wind chime.

Care Tips

1. Soil and Water

Soil: Ordinary succulent-specific soil from the flower market will do. You can also mix in some perlite or coarse sand to increase nutrients and permeability.

Water: String of Hearts is drought-tolerant and has strong water storage. Do not water frequently in daily care; water only when the soil is dry and let it dry out between waterings, to avoid root rot.

2. Fertilizing

String of Hearts does not like fertilizer. After sowing, you can apply a compound fertilizer once or twice a year.

3. Light

In summer, keep it in a spot with indirect light. Direct strong light can easily scorch the leaves and flowers and affect its ornamental value.

That's all Huahua is recommending for today.
