Pothos, spider plants and money trees not growing well? One snip and they'll grow like crazy

Your pothos and spider plants at home sometimes turn yellow and grow messy, looking half-dead and really annoying. If you can steel yourself, just one snip of the scissors and they will grow back even better, as long as you're willing to do it.
1. Pothos
Pothos often develops yellow leaves and drops leaves, gradually becoming very "bald", which really isn't pretty. If that happens, just cut them off with scissors. As long as the pothos roots haven't rotted and gone bad, cutting off the leaves and stems will let it grow new ones again.
When cutting, leave 1-2 growth nodes going up from the pothos roots and cut off all the rest. Place the trimmed pothos in a spot with bright indirect light and good ventilation, mist the soil surface daily to maintain humidity, and only water when the soil has dried out completely. With enough light and water, the new growth on the pothos will grow very quickly.
2. Spider plant
If you feel your spider plant at home isn't growing well, especially if it has too many yellow leaves, you can also just cut it off, and the spider plant will quickly grow new leaves after being cut back.
When cutting, leave only about 4 cm of the spider plant's roots and cut off the rest. After cutting, place it in a cool, well-ventilated spot for care, and it must not be put in direct sun. Also, after cutting, watering must be reduced, watering only when the soil is dry.
3. Money tree
Compared with pothos and spider plants, the money tree even more needs regular pruning to keep its shape. But if the money tree isn't growing well, you can also "behead" it with one cut like this, and it will later grow new branches and leaves again.
You can leave 1 or 2 growth nodes on the money tree and cut off all the remaining branches and leaves. After cutting, be careful to water less, and don't let water get on the wounds. After cutting, place the money tree in a relatively warm, well-ventilated spot with a bit of indirect light for care, and it will sprout tender shoots in about just three weeks.
In fact, besides the three common green plants mentioned above, plants such as pennywort and gardenia can also be made to grow new leaves and bloom again in this way.
