Let me briefly introduce how I got into the hobby. I was at home taking care of the kids and bored out of my mind. In spring, someone was selling flowers, so I bought two succulents. At that time, I only knew that the red-edged ones were cute, and of course, those were the only two kinds available where I lived. Later, I started a crazy buying spree. I heard that pups could survive if you cut them off, and I wanted to become a big grower, so I cut them off and stuck them in the soil. It was summer, and they were Mountain Roses (Aeonium) - they were dormant! Basically all of the first batch died. I was not willing to give up, so I joined a lot of succulent groups, asking all sorts of questions and getting looked down upon by the veterans. With my explosive temper, I decisively quit the groups, bought books to read, read care articles, and slowly figured out the experience. In between, I also went through etiolation, sunburn, and being so ugly I did not even want to look twice, but once autumn passes, they will show you their beauty. I cannot help but marvel at the wonder of nature and the tenacity of life.
When I started growing succulents, I was in a very bad mood. I had moved from the city back to the countryside, had no one my age around, and felt a huge psychological gap. There were also disagreements with the older generation about child-rearing concepts, different living habits, and so on. I was unhappy every day, feeling like there was a dark cloud over my head. It was purely to distract myself and change my mood. Slowly, I found that my mood had improved a lot, and I became more tolerant toward my family. Now we get along very well. When things happen, I no longer complain - my first thought is how to solve them. Succulents can make you calm and less restless. They just quietly be themselves, silently accumulating strength and settling into old stems or clusters, stunning the years. Okay, I have rambled too much. Let me just show the photos. May everyone have love in their hearts and light in their eyes.
Aeonium 'Laxum' (Lasi Jin), I like it because I like it - I fell for it at first sight, no need for more words.
Aeonium 'Zhongban Lianhuazhang', this one was always out of stock. I kept pestering and promised to treat it like my own, and only then did they agree to transfer one to me..
Aeonium 'Zwartkop' and Aeonium 'Ink'

My succulent that fell into the pit - grown from a single small head, and successfully made it through two summers
Never forget the original intention, and you will reach the end. Entry-level succulent: Aeonium 'Zwartkop'
Let us take a group photo. At two in the afternoon, under the blazing sun, I went click-click-click and almost got heatstroke. I have completely fallen into the succulent pit and directly developed a greenhouse. I want to make a succulent-themed garden, gradually improving it, with entry-level succulents and clustered old stems. Everyone says good things should be shared, but for us succulent lovers, good things should be kept privately, especially old stems - we have feelings for them, haha. Succulents have opened a door for me, a colorful world. To be able to meet them is truly lucky, how wonderful.
