Fertilizing a goldfish plant takes skill: keep the leaves green and the blooms abundant

The goldfish plant (Nematanthus gregarius) keeps its leaves green all year round, and its flowers look like cute little goldfish. So if you want to grow a goldfish plant well, you need to master the right fertilizing method. Let's take a look!
Fertilizing tips for the goldfish plant:
(1). During the growing season, the goldfish plant needs controlled fertilizing, generally once every 1~2 weeks, with extra phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, which promotes growth and makes the branches and leaves more lush.
(2). Before flowering, appropriately add a little phosphorus fertilizer to encourage the goldfish plant to form flower buds and bloom more and more vividly.
(3). While it is flowering, fertilizing must stop, otherwise it will cause flowers and buds to drop and affect the blooms. After the flowers fade, apply a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer, combined with pruning and shaping, to make the plant's form more attractive.
(4). In winter, the goldfish plant enters a short dormant period and stops growing, so fertilizing must stop, otherwise the fertilizer cannot be absorbed and will cause fertilizer burn, damaging the roots.
(5). The goldfish plant must not be given concentrated fertilizer; applying dilute fertilizer is enough to meet its growing needs.
(6). The fertilizer used for the goldfish plant can be homemade, fully rotted fertilizer cake water, diluted and poured on.
